One of my favorite things about this project is not only how easy it is to complete but how easy it is to personalize for each and every member of the bridal party!
Here are the supplies you will need:
Candlestick Holders (Dollar Store, holla!)
Acrylic Paint & Brushes
E6000 Glue (Available at any craft store)
Twine, or your choice of ribbon (Hemp twine works perfectly)
Matte Mod Podge (Available at any craft store)
Step 1: After removing the tops from the mason jars, as well as any extra stickers on the glass candle sticks, place both the mason jar glasses and the glass candlestick holders in your dishwasher to cleanse any extra gunk/goo away. Once clean, thoroughly dry all of the pieces.
Step 2: In a well-ventilated place, preferably outside, glue the candlestick holder to the bottom of the mason jar glass. Be sure to follow the instructions on the glue, as it can be harmful if not used properly.
Step 3: Place all of your glued mason jar glasses onto a flat surface (inside) where they won’t be accidentally knocked over or moved for the next 72 hours.
Step 4: While the jars are setting, painting time begins! Whether using a stencil or free-handing, remove the inner tin portion from the cap before beginning. Allow the pieces to dry separately.
Step 5: Seal the caps, still keeping the pieces separate, with the matte Mod Podge.
Step 6: Taking your cardstock, you can now create your “Thank You” tags. Cut them into your desired shape, and take a hole puncher to remove a spot for your hemp/ribbon to pull through.
Once three days have passed, your mason jar glasses are good to go! They can even be washed safely in a dishwasher (without their caps)!
