Amazon Update!

Hello hello! I hope you are all staying safe and healthy during these crazy times. This post will be fairly brief as I wanted to share a quick update on my Amazon storefront. Amazon was the very FIRST platform I partnered with when I decided to monetize my blog – it is the main source of all my DIY supplies, so it was a no-brainer at the time. Now, Amazon offers its affiliates/influencers so much more, and I have been WAY behind on taking advantage of all the new (to me) features.

I now have a new storefront on Amazon that I’m super pumped about – this will be where I link a ton of DIY supplies, and random favorites I’ve been loving. Don’t get me wrong, y’all know I’m a huge Sephora/Nordstrom fiend – but Amazon will always have my heart. I have been a proud Prime member since 2012, and I LOVE seeing how it has grown over the years from both a consumer perspective and as a small business owner.

In my new storefront, linked HERE, I will be tagging alllllllll of my favorite Amazon purchases, and some of my super super wishlisted items. I plan on updating this page regularly, so if you’re on board with my decor and general lifestyle posts – you’re going to want to bookmark this, save it to your favorites, WHATEVAH your desired method may be.

Halloween Mantle 2018

Happy *almost* Halloween, y’all! We have been looking forward to Fall all year; it is the all-time favorite season in our home! As I’ve mentioned in other posts about it, one of J’s all-time favorite holidays is Halloween. I think it’s because he’s an October baby, so he might be a little biased ;).

To get into the decorating fun of the season, I really wanted to do something different on our mantle/fireplace area this year. A couple weeks ago I ordered these reusable 3D bats off of Amazon. I am obsessed! They were SO easy to use and look so cool during both day and night. To attach them to the wall, I did not use the adhesive that came with them, but instead chose to use some basic scotch tape. Some of the reviews had mentioned that the adhesive that came with the bats took off paint when removed (makes sense in a way since they are both indoor and outdoor use) so in light of that, I chose not to risk it and just stick with a tape that I had used before on our walls. Two weeks later, and the bats still look like they did on the day I put them up! I also have so many leftover, I’m excited to see where else I can decorate with them in the house 🙂

Gold & White Fall Console Table

Happy Fall, y’all! It’s still pretty hot around here, but as the Fall season has officially started, we thought it was definitely time to pull out some of our pumpkin and autumn pieces. In general, I am not the biggest fan of orange, so any time I can find seasonal decor that fits in with our year round color scheme, (especially during the Fall) I’m a happy camper. If those pieces are easy and simple, then it’s a double bonus! I talk about this a lot on my instagram stories, but I cannot stress enough how helpful it is to have staple pieces for the different seasons that you can just add one or two touches to in order to have a complete transformation. The console table is obviously the main furniture piece here, but the pumpkins work to achieve this as well. They’ll serve as a base for upcoming days in October when we want to add Halloween decorations into the mix. Later this week I’ll be posting about how we add a couple accents to transition this setup from Autumn-themed to Halloween-themed.
